Evolution Academy Trust is looking to appoint a talented and inspirational leader to work with the CEO, Trustees and schools to lead and implement our Education Strategy. The Director of Education will be at the forefront of driving the curriculum and achievement of standards for every pupil in the Trust.


Our vision is to be the trust of choice for Primary pupils and professionals and we aspire to be at the fore of excellent practice and educational thinking. The Director of Education will be central to achieving this vision and aspiration, advising on the educational vision for the support and development of our schools. We need an individual who is creative and passionate about primary education, has a collaborative approach and is ready to work with a group of energetic and vibrant headteachers and schools. We have in our care 4000 children and 700 staff and we take our responsibility to excel in our work very seriously.

The Trust has 12 primary schools spread across Suffolk and Norfolk, primarily in the Lowestoft and Norwich areas, and a growing nursery provision. Becoming part of the core central team of educational professionals and senior leaders the Director of Education will work trust-wide as the key professional adviser on standards, curriculum and improvement within our family of schools.


Candidates must have recent experience as a successful headteacher, in an inspection or advisory service role or as part of an improvement team within a MAT. They will be energetic and have sound knowledge of recent research and development in the field of education. They must also be able to demonstrate success in improvement in a variety of settings and personal and professional integrity in their approach.


This role is a rare opportunity to have real influence across the educational landscape of the East of England. The successful candidate will be joining a team of passionate and dedicated leaders and trustees who are ambitious for both the trust and, above all, the pupils within its schools.
