DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Required January 2020

37 hours per week

Term time, plus inset days, plus 2 weeks during academy closure (41 working weeks)

Pay scale 5 Points 35-43

Minimum actual starting salary £28872


We are seeking to appoint an outstanding professional to lead the academy’s HR requirements and play a central role in effectively managing employee casework, provide advice and in-meeting support and work closely with the Trustees, Principal and Senior Leadership Team. 


You will be dynamic and proactive, possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have a high degree of personal integrity. Discretion and reliability are also essential.


The ideal candidate will be:

> Qualified to CIPD Level 5 (desirable).

> Experienced within a school/academy setting (desirable).

> Demonstrate experience in effectively handling casework including disciplinary, capability 

   and grievance.        

> Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of employment law and the ACAS code.

> Have a robust awareness of what it takes to keep children and young people safe.

> Hold a genuine belief in the potential of every individual.


Key responsibilities include managing and overseeing daily staffing matters, managing the recruitment process, issuing contracts and managing personnel records and data.
