Lionheart Educational Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional professional to join our Trust Leadership Team as Director of Humanities. This role encompasses the strategic overview and development of the secondary curriculum in Geography, History and Religious Studies. The successful candidate will be a highly effective leader who will lead by example and implement outstanding teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be a subject specialist in at least one of these key disciplines, preferably Geography, who will oversee the strategic development, explore cross curricula opportunities and support school and trust subject leaders of all three key disciplines.
We are seeking an accomplished professional team player who, from a research grounded starting point, will continue the development of a strong, academic and knowledge rich secondary curricula that is inclusive, engaging and innovative. The successful candidate will understand that our curriculum must be ambitious, reflect the modern world and represent the learners who will benefit from it.
The appointment will be offered to a professional who has a desire to work in a creative and strategic role that is anchored in teaching and learning and offers ample opportunity to implement academic research and to evaluate and develop effective schema. The Director of Humanities will support leaders across Geography, History and Religious Studies, and will be actively involved in the classroom experience of the children within our care.
Lionheart Educational Trust is currently made up of a family of four primary schools, six secondary schools and a sixth form college. Lionheart was formed by Beauchamp College, an outstanding provider.
