The Academy of St Nicholas is an 11-18 Academy with nearly 900 students on roll. The Academy is focused upon driving standards of achievement rapidly and this makes it a dynamic and exciting place to work. Applications are invited for an ambitious Leader to take up the new post of Director of Humanities. 

As the Director of Humanities, you will have direct responsibility for Geography at the Academy, and will teach this subject up to KS4. As a Leader within the Academy, you will also join the Extended Senior Leadership Team, and along with holding line management responsibility for Humanities at the Academy of St Nicholas, you will also support the development of Humanities across the Trust.

The Trust has a proven track record in developing leaders and ensuring staff reach their full potential and career aspirations through a comprehensive programme of CPD and career progression opportunities. We are determined that the successful candidate will have:

· A passion for Humanities teaching

· Reliable evidence of very good to outstanding teaching with a focus on raising student achievement at KS3 and KS4.

· A passion for making a difference for young people in the city of Liverpool
