This exciting role will see the successful candidate become the Director of Learning & Teaching within a new and innovative educational hub in the heart of Riyadh.

The Director of Learning & Teaching directs the School curriculum and academic development in order to ensure all pupils fulfil their academic potential, as well as ensuring all staff enhance their capacity.

The Director of Learning & Teaching provides leadership and support in meeting the needs of students in the areas of academic development, character and behavioural development, and overall student well-being. They will analyse the needs of the pupils across the School and assist personnel in developing, implementing, analysing the ongoing effectiveness of across the school. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring the delivery of Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary curricula 
  • Monitor quality and progress in Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary learning through self- evaluation discussions, lesson observation and leadership meetings. 
  • Advise and coach Heads of Department/subject leaders — ensuring they meet mutually agreed targets. 
  • Devise and conduct training workshops prior to and throughout the year 
  • Create and implement assessment protocol that is fit for purpose for all pupils. 
  • Ensure the School makes progress in the quality of learning and teaching. 
  • Ensure the School has appropriate CPD and devise and implement CS CPD initiatives.
  • Analyse a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative formative and summative data sources to determine the needs of students.

Skills and Experience 

·      Minimum of 3 years’ experience in School Leadership role and of directing, planning,

implementing, and evaluating programmes in a School-based environment.

·      A proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and influence

others at all levels.

·      Knowledge and understanding of pastoral standards, cultural diversity, and family

systems.

·      Proficiency across digital technologies including O365 suite, MIS (iSAMS or similar) as

well as software applications relevant to area of responsibility.

·      Professional approach with a proactive, 'can do' attitude.

·      Ability to maintain confidentiality. 

·      Be able to work independently to meet deadlines. 

·      Experience of providing staff training. 

·      Experience of training and development. 

·      Knowledge of safer recruitment practices. 

·      Friendly and approachable.

·      Right to Work in KSA.

·      Willingness to undertake training.

Qualifications

·      Master's degree or equivalent in education

·      Minimum of ten years of classroom experience 

·      Experience in the supervision of faculty members

·      Proficiency in curriculum development

·      Experience in coaching and training adults

·      Experience in designing curriculum.

·      Administrative experience.

·      Ability to assess data and use it to drive instruction.
