The de Ferrers Academy has gained a reputation for high levels of academic achievement, demonstrated by the fact that the 2016 results at GCSE and A-level are the best on record. We have a positive ethos and excellent staff/student relationships, we value our staff and are committed to their personal and professional development. In recent years, the Academy has developed a national reputation for innovation and success in Learning technologies and ICT. The Academy is an Apple Regional Training Centre, with 1:1 use of iPads for all Key Stage 4 and 5 students.

The Faculty is very well resourced and prides itself on a strong record of success based on a team of committed staff with a passion for teaching and learning. Examination results in PE are excellent, and consistently above national average at Key stages 4 and 5. In 2017 summer examinations 39.2% of GCSE PE students achieved A*-A and our A-level PE cohort achieved an average grade of a B. Results across all examination courses place the PE faculty as one of the best in the academy in terms of both student progress and attainment. We are wishing to appoint an inspiring individual with commitment, enthusiasm and drive to continue to raise levels of achievement.  Your commitment to enhancing teaching and learning for our students is paramount, and the successful candidate can expect to receive excellent training and continual professional development.
