Job overview

Huili School Nantong is seeking an exceptional Director of Marketing to lead, coach and guide the team responsible for planning, implementing and measuring all aspects of the School’s marketing campaign. The School’s marketing strategies and plans should be designed to achieve the maximum number of admissions to each school, as well as to promote the positive image of Huili School within the education community and to attract the best quality staff to our schools. This is a Senior Leadership position which sits on the School’s SLT and will play a key role in it’s exciting development and growth plans. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning

• Gather industry and customer insights through quantitative and qualitative market research

• Develop integrated marketing campaigns with timeline, budgets as well as clear roles and responsibilities within the team

• Development tracking and reporting mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of the overall campaign and each of its elements

• Provide reports for – and present at – Board meetings as required, providing high quality Marketing plans to inform School Development Plans and strategic decisions

Campaign Execution

• Implement the College Visual Identity across all marketing execution

• Develop and maintain media relations with tangible results 

• Website development and maintenance

• Social and Digital media

• Printed materials and school giveaways

• Internal and external events for marketing and admissions.

• Co-marketing with partner organisations including relocation agencies and chambers of commerce

• Engagement with corporate customers

Digital Strategy

Responsible for all aspects of the integrated marketing campaign, with digital marketing forming a key part of the overall campaign.  The digital strategy should have a coherent plan and clear measurables as below, working closely with CO marketing team to maximise the digital impact.

• PPC and SEO

• Tracking effectiveness of websites and make regular improvements

• Social media platforms and strategy

• Ad banners and partner sites 

Leadership of The Marketing Team

• Oversee and support school-based teams on planning for sufficient and appropriate marketing resources

• Allocate roles and responsibilities to team members, with clear and measurable objectives and targets

• Provide day-to-day support to team members

• Performance manage the team members through regular feedback, formal appraisals and setting SMART KPIs

• Provide training and development for the team 

• Work closely alongside the Master and SLT to promote a positive work culture and high levels of employee engagement 

• Participate actively in the wider aspects of school life

Wellington College China is excited to show off the newest member of its family — Huili School Nantong, whose vision is to cultivate talent through virtue, kindness and integrity. Huili Nantong is committed to providing a world-class bilingual education to Chinese pupils aged 3 to 18 leading to university entrance overseas, primarily in the UK, the USA or Europe. It instills in them the five characteristics of the Huili Identity: Inspired, Intellectual, Independent, Individual and Inclusive. Huili School Nantong encourages its pupils to become both outstanding Chinese nationals as well as well-rounded, global citizens. We say that our children have roots in China but a global vision. Teaching is in both English and Chinese with about 50% of our staff being local Chinese and 50% native-English speaking expats. All of our Chinese staff also speak English and are role models to the children in the school. The Common Room is strong with both the Chinese and foreign staff teaching and socialising together.

Offering a complete 15-year education system, Huili School Nantong has a total  area of 80,000sqm and is the largest campus in the Wellington College China portfolio. It opened its doors to Early Years 2 - Grade 7 (Ages 3 - 13) in September 2022 and will expand by one grade per year hereafter until full. Having an enrolment capacity of 2000, the school also offers boarding accommodation for approximately 700 pupils, starting from primary school age. Huili School Nantong adopts the same architectural style as Wellington College in England coupled with the latest, state-of-the-art facilities.  Its teaching areas, boarding accommodation, school halls, library, indoor sports hall, swimming pool and outdoor football and rugby pitches are all designed to resemble its premium British counterpart in both style and quality.
