Job overview

Minerva Learning Trust is an expanding Sheffield based multi-academy Trust with a vision of providing outstanding education for all the pupils within our schools. The Trust is passionate that all pupils should see their time at school as happy and fulfilling with their potential developed to the utmost.

Stocksbridge High School joined Minerva Learning Trust in December 2017 and is working positively with the Trust to ensure the continued improvement in the quality of education and opportunities offered at our school.

As we continue on our journey to improve the outcomes for our pupils, we are looking to appoint a Director of Maths to join the school’s leadership team in driving forward our plans for improvement. The role will suit someone who has a proven track record of raising attainment through their leadership in maths and is looking for their next career step into senior management.

The successful candidate will be committed to raising standards of teaching and learning, developing and improving systems to judge quality, impact and progress and be able to use data effectively to ensure our pupils are supported to be the best they can be.

The School is committed to continuous professional development and, through our partnership within the Trust, can offer opportunities for wider collaboration and development to enhance career progression.

Minerva Learning Trust and its schools are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people. The Trust expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory completion of enhanced DBS checks and all other pre-employment vetting and references as set out in Part 3 of Keeping Children Safe In Education 2018.

Further details can be found in our recruitment pack which can be obtained by contacting Hannah Taylor via e-mail htaylor@stocksbridgehigh.sheffield.sch.uk or telephoning her via the school on 0114 2883153
