Director of Music

Ardvreck School wishes to appoint a Director of Music. 

Ardvreck is a small yet feisty school with 110 pupils from the ages of 3 to 13. The school nestles on the side of a hill in a breath taking, rural location at the foot of Ben Chonzie and above the picturesque market town of Crieff. It was established in 1883 and enjoys a very strong academic tradition. Here at Ardvreck, we are committed to the pursuit of academic excellence through a stimulating and inspiring curriculum which prepares our pupils for their Common Entrance and Public School Scholarship Exams.  

We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead and inspire our active music department. A musician who will have the ability to: teach and play one or more musical instruments to a high level; teach curricular music; accompany soloists; lead the choir, orchestra and ceilidh band; direct whole school plays and musicals; manage a team of highly experienced professional musicians and peripatetic teachers and continue to raise the profile of music in the school, local community and the wider population. The right person will be self-motivated and have the ability to be part of a team.

The ability to teach other curricular subjects will be a distinct advantage.
