Following the promotion of our Director of Primary Education to take up the role of Chief Executive Officer of another Multi Academy Trust, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking a permanent appointment to the executive post.

The Director of Primary Education will be a member of the executive team of this still young and developing Trust. They will be responsible for ensuring that every one of our primary pupils makes educational progress in a safe and happy environment. They will have joint accountability with each of our primary academy Principals for the educational outcomes of our pupils.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding school leader with a track record of significant school improvement. They will have a strong understanding of using data to drive school interventions and prioritise support. They will be committed to the professional development of themselves and our school leaders and staff. They will be committed to the development of the whole child to become thriving adults that contribute to their wider society.

Location: The Trust is flexible on location but the official base will be at one of our schools in Plymouth, Wiltshire or Bournemouth. 

Background: Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education. From October 1st we will operate 13 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset and Wiltshire

At the heart of those values and principles is a belief in our young people and a determination to support them to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become the successful citizens for today and all of their tomorrows. Our vision is to enable individual academies to flourish with real autonomy, whilst also ensuring a strong ethos of support and collaboration across our schools.  We are also committed to collaboration with other schools, MATs, colleges, Local Authorities, employers and Government to bring the widest benefit to young people and our staff.

Our core business is delivering exceptional education for children and young people with a mission to help all pupils aspire to achieve beyond the expectations that others put on them. We do this through the development of a talented and committed work force. In order to deliver exceptional opportunities for learning, we need highly motivated staff across the all parts of the organisation. Therefore, we are looking for an outstanding individual to help support the Trust centrally with its day to day activities and planning for the exciting developments that lay ahead.
