We are seeking to appoint an aspiring leader to be our new Director of Reading for our secondary academies to ensure a rigorous and successful approach to the teaching of reading. This is a newly created position, giving the right candidate a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on reading throughout the Trust. The successful applicant will work across our academies giving direct support and challenge to teachers, and leading strategies to develop students’ confidence and enjoyment in reading.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, driven and talented teacher focused on increasing the life chances of our young people through inspirational teaching. You will be an outstanding teacher, from either a primary or secondary background, with a track record of excellent results and the potential to spread good practice and build capacity. Experience of implementing a reading programme leading to improved student outcomes is highly desirable. Experience of teaching Eduqas GCSE English specifications is an advantage.
