Tanglin Trust School, established in 1925, has over 95 years’ experience of providing excellence in education. Combining the benefits of a global outlook with the strong foundation of the UK National Curriculum, Tanglin offers a holistic education where all students thrive, inspired by passionate teachers and supported by excellent pastoral care. Working together in a safe, caring yet stimulating environment, we set high expectations whilst offering strong support, resulting in a community of lifelong learners who can contribute with confidence to our world.
A highly successful period of development provides unique opportunities for outstanding individuals to join our team– we are passionate about education and dedicated to making a difference to the lives of our students.
The Director of Scholarship, Inquiry and Partnerships will report directly to the CEO and is expected to work closely with the three Heads of School and the Director of Learning to develop and deliver a compelling, cohesive, and ambitious vision for the Institute that is aligned to the school’s strategic objectives.
The Institute will allow the consideration of current and future academic and vocational disciplines, by engaging teachers, learners, facilitators and mentors, to work collaboratively to visualise and develop new and improved outcomes within our dynamic learning community. It will be a ‘space’ for new possibilities to emerge; providing connections to universities and the world of work; ensuring deep learning in areas of interest for students; challenging and supporting staff and students to achieve their best. The Institute will draw on the richness of the Tanglin, One-North and the Singapore community; acknowledging the uncertainty of the future and proposing solutions to societal challenges.
This role is a new position and requires a motivated, pro-active individual who is able to work well with and draw together a variety of key staff from across the school. The appointee may be a teacher, though those with experience in the university sector and/or research may also be interested.
Closing date of application: Friday, 24 September 2021.
Please see ‘Careers’ on our website at www.tts.edu.sg for details of this position and information on how to apply.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to provide an Enhanced DBS disclosure certificate.
