Job overview

The pioneer of French immersion in Canada, TFS is Canada’s International School. The country’s largest independent school - serving students from age two to university entrance - TFS teaches the curricula of the Ministries of Education of France and Ontario within the framework of the International Baccalaureate. Co-educational and non-denominational, TFS develops critical thinkers who celebrate difference, transcend borders, and strive for the betterment of humankind. Throughout the school’s history, TFS students have been characterized by their academic ambition and their determination to acquire an international perspective on local and global affairs.

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Learning Forum and working collaboratively with leaders across TFS, you will advance an individualized, aspiring, multi-stage strategic program that prepares Senior School students with the information, credentials, and interview skills to attract offers and scholarships from their choice of universities. With your experi¬ence in the classroom and/or in guidance counselling, you understand the significance of this role to the success of students, the satisfaction of parents and guardians, and the reputation of the school. Together with your team, you will support students through this key transition, matching the unique strengths and passions of each with the best-fitting post-secondary institution and program. A trusted advisor, you are com¬mitted to understanding the whole person and to guiding students through this important next step on the continuum of life and learning.

An exceptional communicator and relationship builder (ideally bilingual in English and French), you are adept at engaging university admissions departments, students, parents, and recently graduated alumni. Intellectually curious, you have in-depth knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, expertise in university application processes, and strong international networks in post-secondary education. Embracing the school’s values of integrity, discernment, respect, and engagement, you will champion TFS students in achieving their educational goals. This is an exceptional leadership opportunity to empower some of the country’s most promising young people as they prepare for success in today’s global world.
