Thank you for your interest in the Early/Junior Years Technology Teaching position at St Augustine’s College. This job is a 12 month fixed term, part time [3 days] position teaching primary aged students in a P-12 setting. This teacher will deliver elements of our Technologies Curriculum with a specific focus on Design Technologies within a unique Prep to Year 5 workshop setting .The role will also include assessment and reporting of all students who engage in the program. This teacher will have pedagogical skills to be able to teach Prep through to Year 5. These hands on experiences will occur in a specifically designed workshop with drafting programs [currently Google Sketch Up], Macbooks and tools such as drills, hammers, saws etc. The classes spend a 110 minute session each week in the workshop over a six month period. The applicant will need to have knowledge, understanding and skills involved in design development and use of technologies as described in the ACARA - Design and Technologies Curriculum. The College has four precincts: Early Years P-2, Junior Years 3-5, Middle Years 6-9 and Senior Years 10-12. The College is a genuine P-12 setting on one campus. We are seeking teachers who are student focused and team players who will work collaboratively with others in the Early and Junior Years Learning Teams. This Part Time and Fixed Term position commences January 2020.

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019
