Founded in 1971 and opened as a family-oriented British School, it was one of the first of its kind in Madrid. Today, it is based on five sites in central Madrid and has nearly 1000 pupils.
Hastings School follows the National Curriculum for England and also teaches in Spanish the two compulsory subjects indicated by the Spanish Ministry of Education. The school follows a creative, topic curriculum in the Primary section based on stories from all over the world. In the Secondary section pupils prepare for IGCSE examinations, AS and A Levels within the British system as well as Spanish university examinations.
Hastings School is looking to appoint a full time Early Years Teacher from 1st September 2018. The ideal candidate will possess a recognised teaching qualification from a UK university and at least 2 years teaching experience in an Early Years setting. We are looking for teachers with an international outlook and a working understanding of Tapestry and/or SIMS as a tool for recording assessments. An ability to speak Spanish is an advantage but the willingness to learn the basics is essential. A growth mindset is a must!
