Job overview

We are looking for an outstanding Early Years Teacher to join The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar School in Chadderton, Oldham.

The Chadderton is a family-based, co-educational preparatory school with an outstanding reputation, which places the careful, nurturing and rounded education of the children in our care at its core.  We encourage impressive results from happy children for a fee, which we strive to keep accessible to many. About you:

You will be an experienced Early Years Teacher who is outstanding in the classroom.  Understanding that these are the crucial years and helping our pupils to gain the very best levels possible. Our classes are small and we aim for our pupils to leave us as confident, happy, articulate and enthusiastic individuals.

About The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar School

At The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar our aim is to inspire and challenge children to love learning. We pride ourselves on our child-centred approach to teaching and learning, celebrating the individual talents and personalities of every child. We believe that school should be a fun, exciting place where children can learn in a secure environment and be willing to take risks when trying out new ways of learning. How children learn is as important to us as what they learn.

We are a friendly and family orientated school, where partnerships between parents are actively encouraged and fostered through our open door policy. The unique relationship between children, teachers and support staff is one of our key strengths and, as a result, children thrive and progress in our environment.

Our small class sizes mean that we can treat every child as an individual. The excellent ratio of staff to children ensures a high level of support so that children quickly build up strong literacy and numeracy skills. Innovative and enthusiastic teachers are pivotal to our success and lie at the heart of our learning community, providing the framework for your child’s educational, cultural and social development.

We are a Preparatory Grammar School, meaning that our approach is centred upon delivering a grammar school education to primary aged children. Because of this a sustained emphasis is placed throughout the school on the breadth and balance of the education we provide, ensuring that children enjoy their learning.

Children will leave The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar as happy and confident individuals, with the skills required to be independent learners, well-prepared for their next stage in learning.
