Dulwich College Shanghai seeks an outstanding and inspirational educator to join the DUCKS – Dulwich College Kindergarten. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to one of Asia’s most successful and well-known international schools.

DUCKS is seeking class teachers with sound experience in the Early Years or Key Stage One age phases.   Desirable experience in some of the following areas would be beneficial:

Dulwich College Shanghai has 1620 students aged 2 – 18 and offers the English Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, the English National Curriculum, International GCSEs and the IB Diploma Programme with outstanding results.

Comprising of a Toddler House with 48 children aged 2-3 years old, a Nursery Unit with six classes of sixteen children aged 3 and 4, six Reception classes, six Year 1 classes and six Year 2 classes, all with a maximum of 22 students, DUCKS Shanghai is an extremely busy and fun place to be. Whilst we follow the EYFS in Early Years, our play-based, dual language approach takes the best aspects of pedagogical practice from other countries. In Key Stage 1 we follow the English National Curriculum with additional programmes such as Talk for Writing, Philosophy for Children and Maths no Problem to enhance the curriculum offered. Our age specific facilities and resources enable us to provide an outstanding education to a wonderful student body, creating a warm and welcoming community in which to live and work.

Successful applicants will need to be sympathetic with the ethos and values of the College. Dulwich College Shanghai is a well-resourced school with a motivated and enthusiastic international student body. Welcome to Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong.

Our school is located within the leafy, vibrant Jinqiao area of East Shanghai with a thriving and diverse community. The first school in the Dulwich College International family of schools, we opened in 2003 with just 23 students. The College now educates approximately 1600 students from age 2 to age 18, with over forty different nationalities represented in our diverse student body.

Whilst have built a strong reputation for academic excellence, with our students achieving IB results well above the global average year on year, this is not at the expense of student wellbeing. Our school has a pastoral support team for students at all levels, and all of them follow a Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) course appropriate to their age and coordinated across the year groups. The relationships they form with their peers and with their teachers are critical for their education and for creating a safe learning environment for their growth.
