Please note that this post is Part Time and the successful candidate will work 3 days a week.

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic. conscientious and creative Education Support Co-ordinator with a passion for working with, and on behalf of, children and young people to work closely with our team of Supervising Social Workers, Foster Carers and Education Support Co-ordinator (west) to ensure high quality education outcomes for the children in placement.

The Education Support Co-ordinator will operate in conjunction with professionally qualified Supervising Social Workers to provide proactive and practical support, advice, guidance and training for foster carers, ensuring that appropriate educational support is provided for the children placed with them, liaising with education professionals in schools and local authorities

You will need to be GTC registered, have experience of working within the education sector, preferably with children with additional support needs, and be able to work independently with the ability to manage your time effectively. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of ASN legislation and guidance, and have multi-tasking and decision making skills. You will be required to have excellent communication skills and a professional approach to working with people and children from diverse backgrounds. You will also need to be IT literate, have a full driving licence and your own transport.
