Job overview

Vision for Education are currently looking for education support workers to work at a provision in Leeds that caters for Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs. This post requires somebody with tremendous resilience with a nurturing approach to pupils and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the most vulnerable and disaffected pupils within Leeds. The ideal candidate will have had previous experience working with mental health either in an educational, residential or public sector service with either adults or children. This is a temporary to permanent position, and requires the successful candidate to be available full time, and to want a permanent job. Below are some addition qualities that we would like you to possess: 

· Be patient and understanding.

· Be supportive of the classroom teacher and deliver strong classroom management skills.

· Be empathetic towards pupils with social, emotional and mental health issues.

· Be flexible with your teaching styles in order to adapt to each individual.

· Be confident working with both groups and 1:1

· Liaise effectively with parents and colleagues 

· Have an up to date Team Teach Qualification, or be willing to complete the relevant training in the October half term.
