Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged and deprived children with mental health issues? Then please read on. We are actively recruiting for an Education Support Worker to work with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils that have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the welfare and safety of pupils whilst in school which will be made possible by being a good communicator, showing empathy and working with other staff members as a team. This role is mainly classroom based, but you would be expected to go on trips with pupils as rewards, or as part of a vocational course that they may be doing, so the successful candidate also needs to be extremely outgoing and flexible. Due to the nature of this job, and the pupils that you will be working with, you will have to show immense resilience and show unconditional support and consistency to the pupils that so badly need it. This post is a long term contract with school that will likely go permanent after a term, so the successful candidate will be wanting a full time permanent job as well. The Successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Must be looking for a full time permanent job

Have experience working with SEMH issues or challenging behaviour in a similar setting

Must have an unconditional and unwavering commitment to help the most vulnerable young people in society

Up to date CV demonstrating relevant sector experience

The following attributes are desirable but not essential:

Child workforce DBS on the Update service

In date Team Teach Training and Certificate

Recent experience working in a PRU or Residential care setting
