John Whitgift Academy are looking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer to join our academy team in June 2021.  

Hours: 37 hours per week / 5 days per week / Term Time only plus 5 days (39 weeks) / Permanent

Our academy

We currently have over 730 students on role aged 11 to 16.  Our academy is situated close to the A180 making it ideal for commuting. Despite being one of the most rapidly growing academies in North East Lincolnshire, due, primarily to our success and outcomes, relationships between students and staff are excellent and we have maintained a small school friendly atmosphere.  Behaviour in our academy is good with a relentless focus upon learning and aspiration.

In addition, we are fortunate to have some outstanding facilities that help to further enhance the quality of teaching and learning, such as, an Engineering block, 2 full size swimming pools and a 207 seater cinema.

The role

In your new role you will provide an education welfare service for students and their families at the Academy. To ensure, in conjunction with others, that students receive education appropriate to their needs by regular attendance at the academy. To assist them to obtain maximum benefit from their education and to be involved in the development of the service and staff.
