St Jude’s Early Learning Centre offers a quality preschool education, catering for children in the year prior to primary school.  The curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework which recognises the importance of communication and language (including literacy and numeracy), and social and emotional development.  Programs include play experiences, intentional teaching and learning opportunities based on the interests of the children.


About the Role

The position exists to support the implementation of the mission of Catholic education and to provide high quality service and programs for children in the year before formal school.

The Early Childhood Educator will work as a part of a team striving for excellence in teaching and learning, where relationships and partnerships are nurtured and respected, where children feel safe and develop a strong sense of identity.

This position is part time 0.5FTE. 

This position is temporary in nature as it is dependent on a specific programme which is not of an ongoing nature.  Should such funding be withdrawn, this Contract may be terminated earlier than the specified end date in line with the termination provisions contained within this Contract.

  • A commitment to developing positive relationships with families.
  • A well-developed sense of responsibility and self-motivation.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality with staff, families and children. 
  • A commitment to development and improvement within the field of Early Childhood education.
  • An ability to work with different multimedia platforms
