English & Visual Art Teacher

Jiaoke Secondary School is a fully certified British Columbia Offshore School operating under the ownership of the Xiehe Education Group. The school is situated in the Min Hang District of Shanghai. The school, which enrolls students in grades 9-12, has been in operation since 2011 and has received numerous commendations in its annual BC Inspection Reports.

The school is currently seeking applications to from applicants possessing qualifications and/or experience to teach Visual Arts and English in a secondary school setting

The anticipated student enrollment for August 2021 is 350-360. The school employs 26 BC certified teachers and a compliment of 16 Chinese certified teachers who support students and staff with academics, parent communications, home room duties and pastoral care.

Shanghai United International School (SUIS) is a progressive employer offering a competitive compensation package including owner paid medical coverage, travel, and a housing allowance. Applicants must be British Columbia certified (or be eligible for BC certification) and will be expected be available for work in Shanghai by Mid-August 2021. SUIS has HR and Visa Departments which will guide applicants through the visa and work permit process. To qualify for BC certification applicants must possess a university degree, have completed a teacher education program and have completed two years of successful teaching experience.
