We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated and experienced Educational Teaching Assistant to support our successful English department and incorporate cover supervision duties within the English department for a maximum of 5 sessions per week – the salary is a combination of scales to reflect the duties.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of English teaching staff to implement and oversee GCSE intervention programmes with individual and small groups of students, thereby supporting progress. This intervention will be in the form of extraction groups and in-class support. Competence in understanding and delivering GCSE English content up to grade 5 is essential.
You will need to be able to work collaboratively and flexibly and build good relationships with both students and staff, demonstrating a respectful and caring attitude towards everyone in school. Experience of working with children in a school environment and having the appropriate literacy to support students is required.
All Saints is an 11-16 school, situated near the northern boundary of Kirklees. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our college making substantial progress under current leadership. In turn, we are looking for a candidate committed to playing a part in transforming the lives of our young people.
