About the Role

We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified English/HSIE Teacher to join our supportive and highly motivated team. The position involves teaching classes from Year 7-10. The willingness to teach a language and/or other subjects would be an advantage also.

Essential Criteria

  • A commitment to Catholic education and the promotion of the mission of the Catholic Church.

  • Well-developed self-awareness and the ability to reflection on your own performance, integrity, and resilience.

  • The passion and expertise to work individually and collectively with students, to maximise the learning outcomes for each one, including those with additional learning needs.

  • Demonstrated high-level teaching skills, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy across all key learning areas.

  • An ability to engage learners in lessons and units of work that inspire curiosity and problem solving.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the capacity to develop productive and caring relationships with students, parents and staff.

  • Demonstrated capacity and willingness to develop students’ unique capabilities through extra-curricular activities.

  • Appropriate qualifications and demonstrated experience in the teaching arena.

This position is temporary in nature because the substantive occupant (the incumbent) is taking parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.
