An enthusiastic and experienced English Language and Literature teacher with experience across the whole of the secondary school is required for an April 2021 start. This position is ideal for an English teacher with interest and expertise in teaching English as a First and Second Language. The English department has 3 full time teachers and 1 part time teacher.
The successful candidate should have a wide range of teaching experience , especially in English as a Second Language and be committed to the integration of all students within mainstream classes. Students sit IGCSE in Year 11 and follow the IBDP in year 12 and 13. All candidates must have a degree in Education or a first degree with a Post Graduate teaching qualification. Native level English fluency is essential.
Experience of teaching students up to the age of 18 is important with preference given to IBDP trained teachers, however , for the right candidate training for IBDP will be provided. An early application is recommended. Due the urgency of the vacancy , the school may appoint a candidate before the closing date of the job advert.
