English Lead Practitioner (KS3 to 5)

The Priory Witham Academy is seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of English who is ambitious about taking the next step in their career by becoming our English Lead Practitioner.  

The successful applicant will work alongside the English Leadership team to provide inspirational and strategic direction which contributes to the development of outstanding practice, allowing for at the very best outcomes within English.  You will be passionate about engaging all of our students in literacy and will have the expertise to develop exciting strategies around reading, writing and oracy. You will lead, develop and enhance the literacy practice of staff throughout the secondary phase of the Academy.  The Academy and Trust offer excellent CPD opportunities and will support the successful candidate in their career journey.

You should be a highly motivated individual who is keen to embrace the opportunities this position presents.  English is a successful department within the Academy with well-resourced and modern classrooms, subject specialist pupil support assistants, a large office and staff work area.  The Academy also benefits from a well-resourced library and full time librarian.
