Position : English Literature teacher

ICS Paris is an international bilingual IB school of over 500 students of 50 nationalities ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade located in Paris in the heart of the 15th arrondissement. The school has over 30 years of experience in the field of education. It offers the IB curriculum to educate students who will shape our world of tomorrow. Students and teachers from over 70 countries, thus forming an international and multicultural community.

Your responsibilities:

For the upcoming academic year, our school is seeking an English Literature Teacher for secondary. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the IB English Literature program as well as the development of student learning in this subject. 

Specific responsibilities include:

– Assessment of student work

– Constructive and timely feedback to promote learning

– Use of appropriate technology to enhance learning

– Development of a stimulating classroom environment to support learning

– The use of relevant materials to encourage real-world learning contexts.

– The development of a spirit of inquiry in our students

– Participation in parent nights and collaborative planning meetings.

Your Profile:

You must be an active learner with a passion for developing students’ IB Diploma Programme learning, have a high level of cross-cultural understanding and be aware of the complexities and opportunities of an international school. You are a team player, able to collaborate, take ownership and responsibility, as well as evaluate IB education, provide necessary curriculum guidance and support as needed. You have knowledge in the field of education and understand the potential of very young children.

– Teacher’s degree, knowledge and experience of at least 5 years in MYP and IB.

– Excellent communication skills in English both orally and in writing

– Strong experience with the IB and MYP program and international schools

– Ensure that students meet the needs and requirements of the IB program

– Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

– Demonstrate a collaborative approach to planning and leading initiatives
