About the role

Join our fast-paced international environment, and you will deliver UK National Curriculum and IGSCE or International Baccalaureate programmes. You will challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes.

About you

Able to create a classroom culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved, you will have a degree in your specialist subject, a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum. Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. Your strong motivation and communication skills will also enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement and personal investment within the classroom.

You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions, including:

  • Current domicile in the UK
  • At least two years of teaching experience after successfully completing your NQT year
  • Knowledge of the National curriculum

Selection Process

The closing date for application is 20th December, 2017. First stage interviews will be conducted by Skype or telephone and final interviews will take place at the Nord Anglia Education Recruitment Event in central London in the week commencing 29th January 2018 (alternative arrangements will be made for candidates who cannot attend in person).

The highly successful and growing British International School of Chicago, South Loop (BISC-SL) has established a reputation for excellence in the Chicago education market. Our school incorporates a variety of curricula to support our through school environment serving children aged 3-18 including: the International Primary Curriculum, the English National Curriculum, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
