ASIA Metropolitan International School started in September 2013. AMETIS is an accredited Cambridge International School & Cambridge International Examinations Centre. AMETIS delivers quality international education based on the Cambridge International programmes of study and the National Curriculum for England. Learners sit relevant assessments by the Cambridge International Examinations board.

Rooted deeply in our philosophy of ‘Educating Forward’, we provide a holistic learning environment, preparing learners to succeed in a global setting. We teach a ‘Stage not Age’ curriculum, where lessons are differentiated and personalised so that all learners can achieve and reach their potential, regardless of what year they are in. We place a great emphasis on mastering the English Language and one other foreign language, such as Mandarin, Malay or French. Digital technology is incorporated into our daily teaching and learning with learners using electronic devices such as tablets and laptops, reducing the dependency on textbooks.

In addition to a sports and athletics programme, theatre, drama, dance, speech and music form an integral part of the curriculum. We also have annual outreach programmes for our secondary learners. Outreach and charity projects have been carried out in Siem Reap, Cambodia and Kerala, India.

The teaching force at AMETIS, made up of expatriates and Malaysian teachers are a team of highly motivated and amazing individuals, who have vast experience in international schools. They are the driving force in delivering quality international education that AMETIS guarantees. A lot of what is evident - in terms of our good IGCSE exam results, the classrooms and the provision of an effective learning experience for the children is all due to the hard work and resourcefulness of the team. We are also lucky to have very supportive parents who encourage us in everything that we do.

AMETIS has students from 13 countries. Although the majority are Malaysians, we have learners from India, the US, Korea, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Nepal, Thailand, Bangladesh, Algeria, Taiwan, Singapore and the UK.
