Teachers at LeAF Studio School are expected to be excellent classroom practitioners with strong subject knowledge and a high level of emotional intelligence. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with pupils, parents and staff whilst also being able to:

  • Demonstrate professionalism consistent with the Trust’s values: aspirational, collaborative, inclusive, innovative and responsible.
  • Deliver a curriculum designed to support and guide young students through their learning journey at LeAF Studio and beyond.
  • Develop professional links with industry-based clubs, institutions and governing bodies relevant to your specialist subject.
  • Contribute (where possible) to extra-curricular provision offered by the department.

Opened in September 2012 and moved into our modern and versatile building in September 2013. LeAF Studio is home to Performing Arts and Sport specialism programmes with a PAN of 500. LeAF Studio joined Ambitions Academies Trust in September 2017.We are recognised by Ofsted as a GOOD school.

Based in Bournemouth we provide a bespoke education for 13–19-year-olds, combining core curriculum with vocational studies.

Mission statement:

Our aim is for every learner to be able to move seamlessly from LeAF Studio into employment, professional performance, or university, equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to purposefully engage in all of the challenges and opportunities they will experience.
