We follow the IEYC (International Early Years Curriculum) and the IPC (International Primary Curriculum), which maps to both the UK National Curriculum and US common core. In Secondary, our students will follow the IMYC (International Middle Years Curriculum), before progressing the US High School diploma with the option of moving to the IB Diploma and/or remaining on a High School Diploma pathway.

About the role 

Due to the significant growth in our student numbers across the school, we are looking for a Middle School English teacher to join our amazing team, who: 

• Is passionate about teaching and learning with a commitment to continuous improvement 
• Will be committed to the vision of igniting passion, purpose and potential in our students 
• Can contribute to the development of the English Department by writing schemes of learning and offering creative opportunities to enrich the learning experience of students at THIS 
• Manages the diverse ability levels of students, embracing each child as an individual 
• Adapts curriculum to fit student needs while maintaining overall class progress 
• Assesses and records student development, while identifying problem areas and areas which need attention and improvement 
• Has excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, parents, and school leaders  
• Maintains high levels of behaviour among students, while promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines
