Job overview

Park House English School is celebrating 25 years of exceptional education this year. We are one of the longest established and most successful schools in Qatar, and are looking to appoint an outstanding Secondary English Teacher (ideally with experience up to A-Level and/or KS5 Media Studies) to join our highly committed team of professionals. Additional responsibility may be available for the right candidate.

Our Teachers

As a passionate educator you will have the highest expectations of all pupils in the school. The best interests of the pupils will be at the centre of everything you do. You will be an excellent communicator and confident with technology: someone who works well with colleagues, pupils and parents. Amongst other things, you’ll be well organised, enjoy being part of a team, have a good sense of humour, be keen to go the extra mile and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life. You won’t be afraid of hard work and will be relentlessly focused on ensuring our pupils are given opportunities for success both in and beyond the classroom.

Our School

Park House English School was established in 1994 and is celebrating 25 years of exceptional education this year. We are one of the leading international schools in Qatar.

Our thriving international student population is aged between 3 and 18 years old and from 78 different nationalities. We follow a modified English National Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum, GCSE and A Levels, taught by our strong team of committed and experienced teachers. Our students achieve amongst the highest results in the country in external examinations.

Located in a purpose built campus in Doha, our school is benefitting significantly from being a part of the U.K. based International Schools Partnership Group. With thirty-two schools in eight countries around the world, our pupils have the opportunity to participate in events such as the ISP Model United Nations (held this year in Costa Rica) and the ISP Buddy Exchange Programme which will enable pupils to participate in reciprocal exchanges across our global network of schools for a period of up to one month.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including fully subsidised accommodation (with access to a swimming pool, gym, tennis courts and many other excellent facilities) and annual flights to your home country. As part of a larger schools group you will be able to take advantage of the development opportunities that come with that.

Selection Process

A Letter of Application and Curriculum Vitae should be sent to our H.R. Manager (hr@parkhouseschool.com). You should also include the details of three professional referees. Park House English School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and criminal record checks. Whilst NQTs are welcome to apply, priority will be given to those with more than 2 years of relevant experience.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 6th February. Early applications are encouraged.

First stage interviews may be conducted by Skype or telephone and interviews will take place in the UK in early February in Birmingham and London (alternative arrangements will be made for candidates already working overseas).
