The Development Office

The Development Office will support the mission, vision and values of the College community, by promotion of the College’s aspirations and achievements through: marketing and communications; enrolments; development and fundraising; the community database; and engagement across community stakeholders and groups.

The Development Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of the College’s Development Office: including marketing and communications; enrolments; development and fundraising; the community database; and engagement across community stakeholders and groups. The Development Manager will build positive relationships within the College community.

The Development Office also has a vital role in the operation of the College with overall responsibility for:

  • the enrolment procedures and achieving the enrolment targets set by the College Executive;
  • the development and implementation of student recruitment and retention strategies that maximise and maintain enrolments in all areas of the College; and
  • promotion of the College to the wider community and assisting families in helping them decide that Parade College is their school of choice.

The Role

Supporting the Development Manager, the Enrolment Officer administers the enrolment and parent/student induction processes at the College, and the implementation of the College enrolment policy processes as they relate to all student admissions.

The role enhances the Catholic Identity of Parade College and its tradition and heritage, ensuring a positive impact on the quality of school life. The Enrolment Officer will participate in School events and support marketing and development projects undertaken by College Leadership. The Enrolment Officer supports and models the College’s values and ethos when dealing with stakeholders.

The ideal candidates are suitably qualified and/or experienced, customer focused professionals with sound experience in a similar role, known for their friendly and polite demeanour, attention to detail, execution and energy. The successful candidates will be innovative, highly organised and can effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Impeccable communication skills assure the successful candidates will have confidence when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

Parade college is an independent, Catholic secondary school for boys catering for students in years 7-12. Parade College has two campuses in the northern suburbs of Melbourne in Bundoora and Preston and currently has over 1900 students.

The college is a member of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), a national body of Catholic schools inspired by the founder of the Christian Brothers, Br Edmund Rice. The Preston campus caters for students from years 7-9 on a small campus setting and the Bundoora campus facilitates students from year 7-12.

Facilities

The campuses at Parade College provide its students with a wide range of facilities to enhance learning and social experiences. The school has a 300-seat theatre, multimedia auditorium, a fitness centre available to staff and students, indoor sports centre, extensive IT facilities and resource centre, sports oval and basketball courts. The school also features specialised learning spaces for sciences, hospitality, creative arts and technology studies.

Curriculum

The curriculum at Parade College is based off the Australian Curriculum while retaining Victorian Curriculum priorities and approaches to education. The curriculum is separated into four levels that reflect the different years of schooling and senior students in years 11 and 12 have access to a wide range of VCE, VET and VCAL courses. Parade College offers subjects in English, Health and Physical Education, Humanities, Languages, mathematics, Science, Arts and Technology.
