Primary School ESL and Cover Teacher (local applications welcome)

St. Stephen’s International School, Bangkok Campus, is seeking to appoint a teacher with specific ESL skills as well as good general primary school teaching experience. The post is based at our Bangkok Campus, starting in August 2022.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with an ESL specialism to maintain their general teaching skills and join the team at St. Stephen’s. The post will involve an approximately 50/50 split of contact time, between teaching English as a second language to our primary children and regular timetabled lessons.

It is essential for the successful applicant to:

 Be a native-level English speaker

 Have an appropriate ESL qualification

 Have experience of teaching English as a second language, as well as experience of teaching the English National Curriculum to KS1 & 2 in a school environment.

 Be appropriately qualified (e.g. B.Ed. or a first degree and a PGCE)

 Provide three professional referees, one of whom must be the applicant’s current, or most recent, Principal.

It is desirable for the successful applicant to have experience of:

 Teaching, using the International Primary Curriculum (IPC)

 Working in the international sector 

St. Stephen’s is located in the north of Bangkok, close to Don Muang Airport and the world famous Chatuchak Market. The school is two-form entry and caters for all ages from Nursery to Year 13.

Successful, overseas, candidates for teaching posts will normally be offered:

 a two-year contract, renewable by mutual agreement
