Job overview
We are seeking an Estates Assistant to join our friendly and professional Estates Department. The department work as a cohesive team to provide a multitude of operational, ‘caretaker’ services to the three schools within the Princethorpe Foundation - Princethorpe College, the Crescent in Rugby and Crackley Hall School in Kenilworth. Initially, this permanent role is primarily based at Princethorpe College.
The role of an Estates Assistant will involve general maintenance, set-up/pack-down and support of internal and external events, locking up, porterage, traffic management and helping to keep the site clean and tidy.
The Estates Assistant will offer class-leading service to staff, pupils and visitors and be enthusiastic, honest, trustworthy and reliable. Their personal values must be totally in tune with the ethos of the school and nursery.
The role is offered as 40-hours per week (with a 1-hour break per day unpaid). The initial proposed working pattern is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (12:30-21:30), Fri (12:30-20:30), Sat (08:00-18:00). This pattern and the hours have some flexibility and may change to suit our needs or to accommodate the right candidate. We are always happy to discuss working patterns at interview.
The salary for this role is based on band D3 – D10 of the Princethorpe Foundation support staff scale, currently £20,416 - £22,288 per annum (£10.47 - £11.43 per hour) (based on a full-time equivalent of 37.5 hour), depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
