The role

We are looking for a keen and proactive Evening Caretaker to work as part of our estates team to provide security, grounds, and maintenance services for our busy site.

Your key skills and responsibilities will include:

• Basic maintenance tasks 

• Porterage 

• Clearing events or setting up for the next day

• Assisting with evening lettings 

• Ensuring the site is left tidy at the end of each evening 

• Locking up and securing the site 

• Responding to requests from the Estates request log

Being as we are one of Bath’s premier boarding schools, the Evening Caretaker will be responsible for assisting boarding with any issues that arise on site and taking responsibility to ensure they are effectively resolved. The successful applicant will most likely have basic maintenance skills for them to deal with any issues that arise and will be flexible and keen to learn new skills.  

This is a varied and active role, so the ability to manage your time effectively and work to deadlines is essential. We have a great estates/facilities team spread across two sites near the centre of Bath and would like to receive applications from someone who can work well under their own initiative whilst also being keen to muck in with the team when required.
