The Bushey Academy is 20 minutes by train from London Euston and enjoys a leafy setting close to the urban environment of Watford. We are a successful and popular 11-19 mixed secondary school that provides the highest quality of education for all learners. Our mission is to ensure that every one of our young people leave the academy fully equipped for their next stage in life, be it university or the world of work. We want all learners, on leaving, to possess excellent exam results, a well developed character, and great employability skills.

We focus on the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom, plus the high levels of care and support we offer every child. Our hard working, dedicated and skilled staff ensure that our learners are happy, safe and achieve well. We have high aspirations for all and we expect our learners o be ambitious for themselves. We want our learners to live up to our motto of 'Proud to belong' and we expect or students to show pride in their work, their appearance and in how they conduct themselves.

The facilities at The Bushey Academy are excellent and all areas of the curriculum are very well catered for in our modern building opened in 2013. We value all subjects highly, placing an equal emphasis on success in academic subjects alongside creative and vocational areas. We also have a wide and varied range of extracurricular clubs that we encourage our students to attend. We are part of the Meller Educational Trust (MET) which gives us opportunities to collaborate with other local schools, sharing best practice and learning from one another.

In July 2018 the school was awarded the Investors in People Good Practice Award for the Health and Wellbeing of our staff.
