Job overview

We are looking to appoint additional members to our team of committed and friendly examination invigilators.  You will be joining a growing and dynamic team with experienced, supportive and creative members of staff, dedicated to the teaching and learning of all students.   The purpose of the role is to conduct examinations in accordance with JCQ Awarding Body and Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School guidelines.  The ideal candidate will have a flexible attitude to work, be able to demonstrate an attention to detail and possess excellent communication skills.  Successful applicants must have good availability during the following examination periods:


• Pre-public exams – 18th – 29th November 2019 

• Public exams – 8th – 17th January 2020

• Pre-Public exams – 24th February – 13th March 2020

• Public exams – 11th May – 24th June 2020                      


Timings:

For public exams you must be available from 8:30am for morning exams and from 12:30pm for afternoon exams, some of which may not finish until 4:30pm or later.   For Pre-Public exams the morning session starts at 8:00am, mid-morning 11:00am and afternoon 2:00pm.

Candidates will be required to complete Safeguarding and role specific online courses and full training will be provided.

Our recent Ofsted inspection grading of ‘Good’ acknowledged the rapid improvements that have been made in the school over the last few years. The school is a vibrant place of activity, inclusivity and kindness which allows children to flourish and grow in confidence.

Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in St Albans, Hertfordshire. It is also part of The Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust (DOWAT), which sponsors eleven faith schools in the Diocese of Westminster.
