Job overview

We are looking for a responsible and attentive individual to join our team of exam invigilators on a casual contract.  The exam invigilator’s role includes distributing and collecting exam papers, monitoring the exam hall to ensure that no unfair means are used by any student in relation to the exam and any other exam-related duties.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, an enhanced attention to detail and the ability to work on their own initiative.  Experience of working in a school environment and some knowledge of the ‘Instruction for the Conduct of Examinations’ produced annually by the Joint Council for Qualifications would be advantageous.  

Exam invigilators are required to assist with the supervision of GCSE, BTEC AS and A level examinations at various times throughout the year, but particularly during the exam season in May and June.

Experience is not required, as full training will be provided.

Hours and days will vary according to the academy’s exam timetable.  Availability may be required between the hours of 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.  Working days will vary between two to seven hours per day.

Park Academy West London is a new school for a new age, an 11-19 academy, based in Hillingdon Middlesex who joined Aspirations Academies Trust, from 1st September 2017.

Park Academy West London has a close working relationship with the Aspiration Academies Trust’s other academies in London. These are Rivers Academy West London, which was judged ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted report, Space Studio West London, which specialises in space, aerospace, science and maths and, in the primary sector, Oriel Academy and Oak Hill Academy.

The Trust also operates the Aspirations Teaching School Alliance which provides high quality training and support for teachers.
