Joining us as an Exams Advisory Tutor, you will assess students who may require exam access arrangements and ensure that all assessment and paperwork is completed in line with awarding body requirements.
Providing exam access arrangement assessments to a caseload of learners, including High Needs, Supported internships, AEB, apprentices and learner loans, you will ensure that all learners that require exam access arrangements have a robust initial assessment. You will liaise with Education Support Workers and Lecturers ensuring they are fully aware of the learner’s individual needs. You must also ensure that the paperwork and electronic systems provide robust evidence to meet the needs of funding claims.
Candidates for this role must have recent experience of assessing candidates for Exam Access Arrangements. Experience of working with young people towards a positive destination is also essential along with a postgraduate qualification in Assessment for Access Arrangements (or equivalent). You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold full teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills (or be currently working towards).
Bury College is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity, celebrating diversity, safeguarding its learners and expects all staff to share these commitments.
