Examinations Officer 

20 hrs per week fixed term for 3 months

We are looking to appoint a part time Examinations Officer to take responsibility for the organisation and administration of external & internal examinations and associated administration processes within our small secondary school, including training of internal invigilators and the creation of an invigilation timetable.

Working closely with a number of external bodies including Awarding Organisations, JCQ and Ofqual, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all formal examinations for the full range of the School's curriculum offer. 

Key tasks will include:

· Ensuring all students are registered for their courses and appropriate examinations and following through to ensure certificates are claimed in a timely manner. 

· You will liaise with a range of curriculum staff to ensure they are kept informed of examination activity and ensure compliance with published procedures.

· You will ensure compliance with JCQ and Ofqual guidelines and regulations for exams is maintained.

· You will oversee the Exam Invigilators and be responsible for providing training as required in conjunction with the Business Manager.  

The successful candidate will have recent experience in an Exams Officer role and must be able to demonstrate a proven track record working within this field. Additionally strong numeracy and literacy skills are required. You will be a confident user of IT including Microsoft Office packages (Word and Excel) with the confidence to manipulate data into a presentable format. Having previously worked in a busy, professional environment you will enjoy working in a front facing role and be able to demonstrate your commitment to providing a first class student experience. With an excellent telephone manner you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have highly effective organisational skills while being flexible to meet the needs of the school.

The post is fixed term, initially for a period of three months to cover a period of staff absence, and would suit someone recently retired or someone in a similar role looking to expand their experience or reduce their working hours.
