Exams Officer

The English College, Dubai, seeks a positive, reflective and diligent Exams Officer to work in the School for August 2021. The successful candidate will have a growth mindset and high expectations of all staff and students. They will have strong ICT skills and will be committed to providing a high standard of accuracy in their work. They will be open and willing to learn; they will be expected to engage in professional learning with the mindset that everyone can always improve.  The successful candidate will work closely with the data officer, with each having a good understanding of the other’s role so that during peak times, work can be rationalised across the two roles. With a logical and highly organised approach, the data officer will work with leaders and managers to specify and develop systems that underpin everything we do.

The successful exams officer will be responsible for the day to day running of exams, including mock exams. They will ensure that exams policies in place appropriately reflect and are fully compliant with requirements as set out by JCQ and examination boards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment and training of invigilators and ensure that all exams are administered to the highest standard. They will work closely with the Inclusion Manager to ensure that all students have the access arrangements they need and will ensure that all applications for special consideration are made.

Successful applicants will:

• Be honest, transparent and have integrity. 
• Have experience of working as an exams officer, a data officer or in an equivalent role. 
• Have experience of administering examinations. . 
• Have an understanding of KHDA requirements. 
• Be able to provide a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
• Be professional in appearance and conduct.
