Job overview

On behalf of GLF Schools, Chestnut Park Primary School is seeking to recruit an astute, ambitious, and resilient Executive Headteacher who will understand, inspire and be proud to represent the diverse community surrounding the school.

Your opportunity

Each school, whatever its headlines, has room for further transformation and we are looking for an individual who can innovatively guide, support and challenge not only the school but also have a significant impact within the group of schools in the cluster.

We welcome applications from individuals who can apply empathy and are emotionally intelligent. Candidates should be driven by a clear moral purpose and a passion for working with children and young people. They should have the ability to be a role model to staff and children, build teams, and empower others.

At GLF Schools, we strive for an inclusive environment where staff, children and students are comfortable to express their own identity, should they wish, in which diversity and inclusion is of mutual benefit for everyone. We particularly welcome applicants from under-represented groups including those based on ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large Multi Academy Trust that comprises 42 schools (Primary and Secondary) across the South East of England with a large central team of talented and passionate specialists.

About Chestnut Park Primary School

Thank you for expressing an interest in Chestnut Park Primary School, the first of GLF Schools within Croydon.

We are a three-form entry primary school in the heart of Croydon, catering for children aged between 4 and 11.

At Chestnut Park we have a passionate and dedicated team of staff who make great efforts to support the children to achieve their full potential by ensuring they are inspired by what they are learning. This is underpinned by an innovative tailored-made curriculum that has been created to engage, excite, and inspire the children. It gives them the opportunities and experiences, and teaches them a range of skills and knowledge to reinforce their love and passion for learning.

In June 2018 we were proud to be judged as OUTSTANDING in our Ofsted inspection - a true reflection of our tireless commitment to the children and their education journey.
