Job overview

Due to the pending retirement of our current Executive Headteacher, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher to this highly successful special school and allied services for children experiencing Social, Emotional, Behavioural and/or Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

New Rush Hall School, consistently judged Outstanding by Ofsted and in peer reviews, is a Teaching School and part of the wider New Rush Hall Group, which comprises 2 PRUs, a Behaviour Support Outreach Service, An Early Years Provision, and the education department of Brookside psychiatric adolescent unit. Through a service level agreement with Redbridge LA, the current Headteacher is also Executive Headteacher of the Group.

As a strong candidate who may already be a Headteacher, you will connect learning and strong relationships, seeing them as the key to success. You will have high aspirations for all of the children and staff you work with. We are looking for candidates with relevant and recent hands-on experience of managing provisions within the SEMH sector.

The appointment comes at a pivotal time as the school considers the next phase of  development and a possible move to multi-academy trust status.

Closing date 12 Noon on Friday 25th January
Interviews and assessments will take place on 7th and 8th February.

Application forms and further details for the post are available by visiting our website at:  www.newrushhallgroup.co.uk

The New Rush Hall Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
