Job overview

                         British School Yangon

                                      Yangon, Myanmar

The British School Yangon produces a high quality international education standard and has been rapidly growing its excellent reputation since opening in 2014. We now have a brand new, purpose built school facility that opened in August 2018, and the school is well placed to become one of the leading schools in the region. The British School Yangon is a Nord Anglia Education school and is also a member of the prestigious Council Of British International Schools. It is an all-through school, educating EYFS, Primary and Secondary children. We have wonderful students and a very vibrant international community.

In our Early Years setting, we work with children from the ages of 2 to 5 years, who hail from all over the world. As a result of the continued expansion and growth of the school, we are now seeking to add an outstanding teacher to our EYFS staff team.

EYFS Class Teacher

Applications are invited from Early Years teachers who are enthusiastic, caring, well qualified and experienced.

The candidate we are seeking needs in-depth knowledge and rich experience of the EYFS and Primary Curriculum (English National Curriculum) and of utilising the Development Matters documentation. You must have a desire and passion for working in an outstanding international learning environment and the ability to plan in the moment to maximise progress for our Early Years children.

In our Early Years setting, the children learn predominantly through child-initiated play within an engaging freeflow indoor and outdoor environment. The team works collaboratively and all teachers are expected to make a positive impact upon the learning of all of our Early Years children, not only those in their class. In return, we offer an excellent setting in which to flourish and develop as an Early Years practitioner.

Nord Anglia Education is the world’s leading premium schools organisation, with campuses located across 27 countries in the Americas, Europe, China, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Together, our 56 schools educate more than 51,000 students from kindergarten through to the end of secondary / high school. We are driven by one unifying philosophy: we are ambitious for our schools, students, teachers, staff and communities, and we inspire every child who attends a Nord Anglia Education school to achieve more than they ever imagined possible.

We offer you unsurpassed opportunities to innovate and develop best practice across our family, to access extensive professional development, and to gain exceptional experience and career development in our schools. At Nord Anglia, you will have opportunities to progress more, learn more, and collaborate more.

We offer a professional working environment and an attractive remuneration and benefits package. Initial contract is for two years starting in August 2019.
