EYFS Teaching Assistant
The Froebelian School is seeking to appoint a full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our lively and thriving school, working with our nursery class. The applicant must have EYFS teaching assistant experience, relevant qualifications and be willing to contribute to the wider life of this busy, exciting and successful school. This position is offered on an annual contract with a statutory holiday entitlement. During holiday periods, the successful candidate will lead on childcare provision in EYFS and will manage a small rotating team of staff.
Interested candidates should complete the School’s standard application form and may include a covering letter of no more than two sides of A4. A curriculum vitae will not be accepted in lieu of an application form. The names of two professional referees will be required.
Short-listed candidates will be contacted with a view to attending an interview. Once confirmed, referees will be contacted to provide a reference. On the interview day, candidates will have a tour of the school, be asked to lead an observed session with a small group and undertake an interview.
The Froebelian School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Due of the nature of this role, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure (DBS) to be undertaken before employment commences.

Terms and Conditions:
Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience
Term-time Hours: 8:15am-4:15pm or 7:45am-3:45pm
School Holiday Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
The Froebelian School enjoys a small close-knit community of staff; colleagues get on well with each other and the atmosphere is warm and supportive. New members of staff are given a mentor on arrival and the Deputy Head oversees the induction process. There is a Performance Review Cycle which includes an opportunity to meet with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Statutory holiday entitlement - 20 days plus Bank Holidays (plus any working days which fall during the School’s closure week at Christmas).
• Holidays must be taken during school term-time dates. The successful candidate will be expected to work for the duration of the published school holidays.
