Salary: £23,836 - £26,999 FTE gross p/a

We are looking for an exceptional Family Liaison Officer with a proven track record of delivering results and improving school attendance by working closely with both students and families. The Birkenhead Park School wishes to appoint an outstanding individual to join our dedicated staff. The post holder will promote the importance of excellent attendance for all students, and deliver targeted work to remove barriers to attendance for identified groups and individual families. You will use attendance data to inform your work and make strategic plans to ensure that our students achieve the best possible academic outcomes. This is an opportunity to join a school which is both ambitious and innovative and for you to play a key role in its future success and aspirational goals. You will work as part of a committed, supportive and passionate pastoral team who live out the school values every day. This is a position that will offer you a platform to make a real difference, both to our students, colleagues and the wider school community.

The successful candidate will possess drive, energy and creativity, excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organised and have the ability to engage positively with both students, families and colleagues. A willingness to promote attendance in innovative ways will also be required, as will a good working knowledge of using ICT systems to analyse a range of data. The role maybe suitable for an existing attendance officer looking to develop their career further. The post offers challenge, reward and opportunities for personal development.
