Required for 4th June 2018, a well-qualified and enthusiastic Physical Education teacher to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will join a well-established, supportive and successful department. She will be passionate about Physical Education and able to communicate enthusiasm and confidence to our pupils. She will be focused on the attainment of all pupils, have proven success at teaching across all abilities, and hold qualified teacher status (QTS). In addition, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice as well be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular programme. A minimum offer of 2 afterschool clubs would be expected of the successful candidate. The candidate would be expected to take over the running of the school Netball club in the Autumn term.
The timetable is likely to involve KS3 and KS4. The ability to contribute to GCSE or A Level would be of interest. The school has excellent facilities including an indoor swimming pool, large sports hall, fitness suite and gymnasium. It is also the hub site for the Barnet Partnership for School Sport.
The successful candidate would be expected to drive the mini bus to attend fixtures, therefore holding a Full UK driving for a minimum of 3 years is essential.
