Finance Administrator

We are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Administrator as soon as possible at this Outstanding (OfSTED April 2011), lively and successful 11-18 Secondary School.  Applicants must be highly motivated, have excellent organisational skills and possess an enthusiastic approach.

The position requires the successful candidate to ensure the efficient maintenance and day to day management of the School’s finances in a fast paced, challenging environment.  The successful candidate will be extremely hard working, have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to providing a high level of support to students, staff, governors, parents and visitors. Applicants must be able to work as part of a team and independently.   Candidates will be AAT qualified (or working towards) and preferably have experience working with school finance software e.g. Civica, Sage and School Cash Office. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate an understanding of data privacy standards, have familiarity with business principles and practices, and have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel  spreadsheets. 

Hours of work will be agreed with the successful candidate but flexibility will be required to work between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. plus two weeks during the school holidays.

Bishop Heber High School is a mixed, non-denominational comprehensive school with a sixth form, there are 1280 students on roll aged 11-18. It is situated in the picturesque village of Malpas. Location

Malpas is a large village placed deep in the south Cheshire countryside. There are several pubs in the village as well as good quality local shopping. Malpas also hosts a regular Farmers’ Market. If you are looking to explore, Malpas is a great base for sightseeing with Cheshire, Shropshire and North Wales just a stone’s throw away. Practically on your doorstep is the famous city of Chester, you can reach the city in 30 minutes and explore all the historic sites.
